OCTOBER 25, 2009

The meeting was called to order at Shucker’s Road House at 1500 hrs on Oct.25 with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence.11members and 1 guest in attendance.

Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.

 The Treasurers report was read and approved.

Old business: Thanks to Jason for the great job on the Grand Tour Ride. A thank you letter from Sherry Lang from the F.FS.F. Was read. We had a recap of The Red Helmet Ride. It was discussed to make the Red Helmet Ride one of our annual rides. Motion on the floor, second, approved.Thanks to those that were pallbearers at Bob Uhl’s funeral. Great job.

The president gave some updates on the convention. He has sent a proposal to the International to change the date to the second week in September due to better room rates. Possibility of Francis Scott Key. Secrets are going to be contacted regarding maybe having an event there. Honor Guard uniforms have been ordered

There are no longer individual club by-laws. Check the International web site for by-law changes.

New business: Tartufo gave the dates for the annual soup sale.

President Thompson read a letter from Marie Gilmore in regards to Wreaths across America. There was a motion by Tartufo to buy 10 wreaths at a cost of $150.00.They will be placed at the Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. The state Association has been formed and some offices have been filled. Gary Trader was nominated to fill the position of Representative from Md.3Motion by Jason, second by Sharon, unanimous. There will be an Association meeting once a year that all will be invited to attend.

Membership committee: Teresa Laubach was brought forth as a social member. Motion by Tartufo, second by Jason, unanimous.

Welcome to Rick Powell as an active member.

The next meeting of Md.3 will be Nov.24.Locatiopn to be announced.

 Good of the club: Don Yon explained his action at the Mr. Whippy ride.

We need better participation.The possibility of attendance requirements were discussed.

Thanks to Curtis waters for the great job he has done with the Honor guard.

Motion by Jason to adjourn at 1630 hrs.
