The meeting was called to order at 6:30. The Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence were observed. There were 10 members in attendance.

RED KNIGHTS TAGS –Our check has been cashed by DMV, so the tags are progressing.


2011 CONVENTION – Bob Thompson has signed the convention contract with the Harrison Group. John Tortufo is checking into pins and coins for the convention by going through the producer and not a vendor. There was a suggestion to charge for the 9/11 ride to all riders including convention attendees.

WEB SITE- Barry Guesst and Donald Spence will help Bob Thompson to lay out the information to ease member accessability. Bob Thompson questioned about using text messaging or voice mail from a company that will furnish the messaging depending on the number of members. An email will be sent out questioning if this is something the membership wants. If there is a positive response, Bob Thompson will purchase the service.

BIKE WEEK – A person has come forward asking to run the bike week event. Discussion is being held about the event and how it will be run. There was also a concern about the event has slowly started to move toward the Salisbury area.

 SOUP SALE- John Tortufo will again cook and distribute the soup at his expense. He suggested for the members to pre-sell and he will make arrangements to get large orders to you. Chicken noodle, ham and bean and veg. beef are available at $10 a quart and includes two biscuits. Money raised will go to the House by the Sea residents.

ROAD SIGNS – John Tortufo has been involved with the state to get Md. helmet law signs placed at the Maryland line when coming from Delaware for the safety of Delaware bikers who may not be wearing a helmet.

AIR SHOW – There is some hesitation about the event because of needing a headliner for the event.

DUES – Money must be in by the Jan. meeting or send to R.K.I.F.MC.Md3,  P.O. Box 119, Bishopville., Md. 21813                                            

DONATION REQUEST – Cutis Andrews suggested donating funds to the Crop Hunger Walk for communities to overcome poverty. Curtis is checking if the funds are used on the shore. He will bring up the event next month.

OFFICER NOMINATIONS – Ed Kukta nominated that all current MD3 officers remain in office for 2011.  


Berlin Christmas Parade – Dec. 2nd at 7:00, will meet at Berlin American Legion at 6:00.

Next RKMD3 meeting will be held Thursday, December 16th at 6:30 at the American Legion in Ocean City on 23rd street.
