Treasurers Report – Read and approved

OLD BUSINESS

RED KNIGHTS TAGS –The tags have been delayed due to additional requirements from the DMV.  Our thanks to Curtis Waters who has stayed on top of the situation, even going to Glen Bernie DMV to get what was need to get these tags produced for the Red Knights.

9/11 RIDE – About 150 bikes attended. Special mention was given about the excellent job done again by our Honor Guard members.

STATE RKMD MEETING – Gary Trader gave a report about the state meeting in which several chapters gave reports about their chapter’s rides this year. There was a general consensus that there should be more chapter interaction in the state to have better showings at everyone’s events state wide.

MR.WHIPPY RIDE – 138 bikes were in attendance which is a good turnout since the starting location was at Showell Fire Dept. instead of Harley Davidson as in years past. Suggestion to stop for gas next year at Royal Farms after leaving Mr. Whippy next year. Ed Torbert mentioned that the meeting of Rode Captains and a participant meeting was not held prior to the event. This needs to be done prior to next years ride.

NEW BUSINESS

2011 CONVENTION – Bob Thompson some of the items that will have to be done prior to the event. An organizing committee will be put together about the middle of Oct. Please contact Bob to be a vital member of this very large event. Barry Gusst has got a lot of information about possible fishing boat trips during convention week.

AIR SHOW 2011 – Bob questioned if we want to take over both the food and beverage services at next years event. Members in attendance did not make a decision until additional information is gathered. Question came up about Red Knight members consuming alcohol during club events. The membership present agreed, if this situation happens again, to approach the member as a group with their concerns. Remember our Rules of Conduct, part of section 6 states: “No abusive alcoholic beverages, while riding a motorcycle, and wearing and Red Knights  clothing or apparel, that will identify that person as a member of the Red Knights will be tolerated.”
